This piece came from the deepest part of my cracked-open year — a time of breaking and mending, of warmth returning slowly to the body, of learning to hold myself with the same tenderness I offer others.
It began as an acrylic painting on paper, created in one of those rare quiet moments when everything in me wanted to make something warm, glowing, and whole again.
The sun in this painting is the moment of re-emergence.
The pot is the vessel that holds what’s been remade.
The gold is the story I’m learning to tell differently.
For this first run, I chose to make 23 prints — a number that followed me all year, whispering, nudging, haunting, then finally softening into something meaningful. What once felt heavy now feels like magic.
Each print is made with museum-grade archival inks on beautiful matte fine-art paper, and each one is signed, dated, and numbered by hand.
